First Time

Cream and Tails were in the park sitting on a bench watching snow fall from the sky. Cream was older now around the age of 13 and Tails was about 15. Cream had  her grown out long and she got rid of that dress and was now wearing a yellow sweatshirt with blue jeans. Tails was the same old Tails just more mature and taller he was wearing a yellow and orange scarf wrapped around his neck.
“Merry Christmas Tails” said Cream shyly.
“Merry Christmas Cream” said Tails smiling at her. Cream kept her gaze down. “Is there something wrong Cream.” Asked Tails.
“No there’s nothing wrong.” Said Cream ‘I can’t love him’ thought Cream.

We're both looking for something
We've been afraid to find
It's easier to be broken
It's easier to hide

They just sat there on the bench trying to avoid looking at each other. Cream was shuffling her feet in the snow and Tails was just drawing circles in the snow.
“Heya buddy” said a familiar voice that crept up behind Tails>
“Oh hey Sonic” said Tails’
“So what are you two doing” asked Sonic looking at the two of them.
“Just Talking.” Said Cream. Tails looked at her and saw she caught her breath a little.

Looking at you, holding my breath
For once in my life I'm scared to death
I'm taking a chance letting you inside

“Well I gotta go see Amy bye” said Sonic and he ran off. Tails and Cream looked away from each other as soon as he left.
“We’re acting like we’ve met for the first time” said Cream with a small laugh.
“Yeah we are.” Said Tails laughing a bit.
“We’ve been more than this” said Cream. Tails felt his heart beating fast.

“You always seemed so distant” said Cream looking at Tails.
“Well after Cosmo died I guess I didn’t want to get close to anyone else anymore”said Tails looking back at Cream. Her eyes seemed to be sparkling with hope and reality.

The world that I see inside you
Waiting to come to life
Waking me up to dreaming
Reality in your eyes

“But somehow Cream you always seemed to make all the hurt go away” said Tails. “And that’s why I’m always so shy around you”
“I make the hurt go away?” asked Cream surprised that she could help Tails.
“You always made the hurt and the pain go away you always did” said Tails smiling at her. He saw she was holding her breath again.

“And I’ve always been scared to let someone in.. because if I love them like I loved Cosmo they might go away.” Said Tails looking away. “That’s why I’ve been so afraid to let you know how I feel Cream.” Cream looked at him as if he was going crazy.
“Well how do you feel about me Tails?” asked Cream.

Tails looked at Cream with hopeful eyes. He could see the curiosity and the hope in hers. The snow fell down into her hair and glistened with a feeling he hoped that he wouldn’t feel again. He didn’t know what he was doing any more and he wondered if he was doing the right thing. He didn’t know where he was in his emotion world it was like he was on a uncharted island.
“Well how do you feel about me Tails”

We're crashing
Into the unknown
We're lost in this
But it feels like home

“Well Cream…” he started. Cream looked at him with hopefulness in her eyes. “Well Cream I love you” he said. Her eyes dazzled with love and happiness. He smiled at her and she hugged and him and knocked him off the bench into the snow and he didn’t regret telling her that he loved her.

He never did through out his whole life.
